Man in the middel issue in router/modem

Hi,

I do a check of my wIfi-network at least twice every week. Last Friday the AVG Antivirus app - Android warned me that my network might be vunrable to a ‘man in the middle’ attack. Suggested solutions go from updating the router, replacing the router or simply use VPN at any time. After contacting my internet provider, who takes care of the security updates of the router and monitors the network permanently, and after analysing the router, the router showed no apparent issue.

Checks of my network via the AVAST (free) anti virus app and the AVG Internet security application for Windows showed no issues related to the protection of the network nor to any security issues.

Have there been similar issues experienced by other users of the AVG Internet Security App (Android)? And how to fix the issue?

In the meantime, the issue seems to be fixed. Probably a misfunctioning with the internet provider due to maintenance activities was at the base.
