MBR:Cidox-E [Rtk]

Hi Alok,
I have preformed the above advise and yet I still go around in a circle:
I have a messaged the threat is healed then later on a AVG pop up recommends me to delete it and when I do this a pop up tells me it needs to restart to preform a boot time scan.
At approx 21% trough the boot time scan the report file notes:
Scan of all local drives
File C:\Users\Wayne\appData\Loca\AVGSetuplog\setup_masterctf.log.1 ERROR 0XC000
009C {status_DEVICE_DATA_ERROR}
The finish scan results : number of infected files 0

Any suggestions ?
thanks
Wayne

I have had the above rootkit found over the last week and at the end of each scan I'm told it is healed and asked to delete it, which I do. Then i have to restart for a rootkit scan and it keeps coming back.... any suggestions ?

In this case, I request you to repair AVG Internet Security (http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-repair-AVG), change AVG Firewall network profile to private (open AVG Internet Security > menu > settings > components > firewall > customize > network profile > change all the network public to private), please go to Firewall customize settings again > scroll down > click on system rules > enable all the system rules if it's not configured and reboot your computer once.
