Hello Baptiste,
Please let us know the name of the AVG program installed in your computer. If it is a business product, then we suggest you to contact the AVG business support from this link: http://www.avg.com/us-en/customer-support-business
Thank you
Thanks for your answer.
Ok, you are probably pointing us to "AVG Email Server Business Edition".
The problem is that we don't use Exchange Server at all. We use James Email Server (an open-source product), as well as a program of our own which regularly pulls the emails from James through POP3. What we tried to do is to just insert AVG Email Scanner between the two. It works well… except that AVG Email Scanner leaks memory in a terrible way (and we can't see any workaround, for example, we can't restart AVG automatically, as the associated Windows services don't allow that)
We are using AVG Internet Security Business Edition (16.151.8013), anti-spam version 8.0.3.
We tried to contact the AVG business support twice by email, but we got no answer, not even a confirmation email. Our last request number is 04758479. We also tried to call, but no line was available.
We were finally contacted by the French support team, but they could not really explain the problem, so they said they would transfer our question to another team, which would get back to us. Unfortunately, we have not received any answer so far.
Actually, we were just told that AVG Email Scanner could not be installed on a server (which is the case in our config), and that there was another AVG product more suitable for that, but they could not find the name of this product. Could someone please elaborate on that?
On our server, AVG Email Scanner (process avgemca.exe) consumes a huge quantity of memory.
At first, it looks normal with less than 100 Mo used. But after a couple of hours, it reaches several Go.
The other day it peaked at 8 Go, and then our server crashed.
We also noticed that the more Email Scanner is solicited, the faster it eats memory. If it is not used at all, the memory print doesn't grow.
Is this normal? Any idea to solve this problem?
We tried to contact the support by email twice, and we've got no answer so far.
Thanks for your return.
