Message centre issue!

Hi,

Not sure if anyone else is having the same irritating issue as myself but 2017 AVG Internet Security Software keeps flagging up the two following warning messages on my desktop screen and AVG Internet Security homepage:

'Virus Definitions Out of Date'  AND  'Program - New version of the program available.'

As my software is linked to 'automatic download,' these updates should be done automatically, like in the past, and I shouldn't be getting these warning messages!  Due to the irritation of these pop up messages keeping on reappearing, I clicked on these error messages to download the updates as requested. However, when I do this, my AVG software then checks the download and displays the message (for both) that my software is 'currently up-to-date.'

How do I stop these messages as it doesn't matter how many times I click on the update link, hoping it will re-set the messages, I STILL have the warning pop up message's appearing on my desktop screen, as does the warning message on my AVG Internet Security home page?

Can anyone tell me how to get rid of this irritating problem please??? Thank you. :slight_smile:

I apologize for the inconvenience. It seems that the program got corrupted while updating AVG. We need to remove AVG traces completely from your PC and then reinstall it.
