Hi Jem,
We're glad to clarify this for you. This is the usual behavior.
Certain applications requires admin privileges to access them. Hence, if you login to a guest account, you might be prompted with this message.
To ensure this, share us the screenshot for better clarity. You can click on click on Answer & select mountain symbol to browse & attach the image to this post.
Meanwhile, you can try to run the program with admin privileges in guest account by : Right clicking on the desktop icon - Select properties - From shortcut tab, select Advanced - Check 'Run as administrator' - Ok.

problem solved (I think). There is a setting which is hidden away.
- open AVG
- got to Menu (top right)
- select Settings
- Under General go to Trbouleshooting
- scroll right down to the bottom
- click on Open Old Settings
- There is an option 'Limit program access for Guest account' - untick this
- reboot - problem solved
Perhaps a tweak is needed to the Settings dialogue or to not issue the message when a Guest logs in.
NB. even when I logged in as Administrator then switched to Guest the error message still appeared.

When I start up the laptop at our community library as a guest it displays a message box saying "you are not allowed to perform this action please contact your system administrator". I click OK and it returns 3 or 4 times before stopping.
There is no indication what the problem is or what the administrator should do.
This message does not appear when I log in as a standard user or as an administrator. (I administer the PCs for the library)
The laptop is running Windows Home edtion which is up to date. There is no special software installed as it is used for recording book loans & returns. This is done with an internet app running in Chrome.
I have a screen shot of the message and the AVG config file but I can't see how to attach these.
Any help would be appreciated
Jem Moore
Thank you for the screenshot, Jem.
Let us know at what instance you receive this error message. Have you tried to access AVG in safe mode with "run as administrator" option?
We will collect the config file via email when required.
