My AVG Internet Security 2014 has reported that C:\Windows\SysWOW64\mfc45.dll is a Corrupted executable file every single day since 17 November 2014.
Every time I have clicked on "More info", I see a message that the database is being updated and to try again soon. That message has now been there for nearly a month. The only thing that seemed to change on 17 November 2014, was that a Vaio Care update was loaded. However, on searching the internet it seems that mfc45.dll is more likely to have something to do with C++ or .Net.
Is this a false positive or a genuinely corrupted executable file?

Hi David,
You can ignore corrupted files, it is not infection it just indicates that file integrity may be compromised, but it can be just one bit due to some glitch.
Thanks
