I understand the inconvenience.
Let us check whether the files are blocked by Ransomware feature of AVG Internet Security.
Open AVG Internet Security interface, click on "Hacker Attacks" and select "Open" under ransomware.
Click on "Blocked/Allowed apps" option and see whether the Excel file is added to blocked list.
If yes, click and remove it from the blocked list and add it to the "allowed" list.
Keep us informed whether the files are working after performing the above process.
For some unknown reason all of my Excel spreadsheets have turned to Read Only. I cant use them or even start/save new pages to replace the ones unable to use. Possible reasons that show up are that the Security Support…ie…AVG is preventing them from working. Any ideas?
