Hello Elaine,
We will work together to sort this issue.
May I know what is your default web browser? If it is AVG Secure Browser, please change it to a different web browser and check if you are able to access the links in the email.
When can I expect to get this issue resolved? I am not very happy with the support I am getting. Previously I had actual contact with an AVG support team member and discussed issues over the phone.
Hello Elaine. Thank you for taking the time to communicate your concern and I apologize for the delayed response. My name is Shawn and I am writing to you on behalf of the AVG Senior Support team.
Upon reviewing some random Microsoft community forums, this appears to be a known Microsoft disruption, that is caused by the entry selected in Default Apps for handling HTTP links, being invalid.
The work around solution is to simply change the default browser to something else (as you already did), then change it back to what you want (AVG Secure Browser).
Good luck. Let us know how this works for you. Regards, Shawn
I cannot not access any of the links in my emails. For example I subscribe to a newspaper. When I hit the link for "Web Version" I can a message that says: Something unexpected went wrong with this URL (url entered) access is denied.
I have contacted AVG a few weeks ago. I would really like to speak to someone to walk me through what I have to do.
I switched from my default browser AVG to Internet explorer. I can now access and view things via web. I have so many AVG products that this does not seem like something I should have to do. What shall I do next
