If you receive error 0x80246008 or 0x80246007 when you download updates from Windows Update or Microsoft Update, you might need to restart the Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS) or the Windows Event Log service.

I can download but not install Microsoft windows 10 updates. Searching their various help sites there is a suggestion that the problem is conflicting security software which should be uninstalled. Error codes C0x80246007 and subsequently 0x80070563. Are you able to help please. Thanks in anticipation.
