Minimize, close buttons not working

I've already tried that.  Then I tried the complete uninstall/reinstall using the AVG Remover, AVG ResetAccess, and AVG Clear utilities, but I still have the same issue.

I recently had the same problem and did not want to go through a whole lot of the steps above,so I changed location, change it back and the controls of closing and minimizing the window returned. ijs

AntiVirus Free updated itself to the newest 2017 base the other day, and the buttons in the upper right corner of the window to Menu, minimize, and close do not work.  Because I can't click on Menu, I can't access the settings.  I have the same program installed on 2 other computers, and they work fine.

I did a complete uninstall/reinstall using the AVG Remover, AVG ResetAccess, and AVG Clear utilities, but I still have the same issue.  I am using Windows 10 Home.

I tried restoring settings saved from another computer, and that also did not help with enabling the buttons.

I did my Google research and came up empty-handed.  I found no information on this being a Windows issue for only 1 specific program window and no information on AVG AntiVirus Free 2017 having this issue.

We regret to hear about the inconvenience caused, we suggest you to use AVG Clear tool first and then use AVG Remover tool. Do not try AVG reset access tool now.
Please run AVG Clear tool and AVG Remover tool to remove AVG and its traces
1 Use the link https://share.avg.com/steam/PSP/AVG2017/AVG_Clear.exe to run the AVG Clear tool.
2 Click Yes in the User Account control dialog.
3 Click No in the Windows safe mode dialog.
4 Select the installed version of AVG, click Uninstall, then click Restart computer.
Please run the AVG Remover tool by using below instructions.
1 Download the AVG remover tool please click on this link:
http://aa-download.avg.com/filedir/util/AVG_Remover.exe
2 Run the tool and restart the computer
After reboot, Open C drive and delete "AVG Remover", also delete "AVG" folder in "Program files (x86)" in C Drive.
