Alan, I am sorry you went through that. There are built-in reminders in the software for renewals, however, you should be able to get a refund for that unintended renewal on this link (https://support.avg.com/support_sales)- John
AVG sorted a long suffering experience on their billing practices by combining the two renewals for my only two computers into a lower combined cost. The cost of both were settled in Sept 2014 and I was promised no more doubling-up of the billing. INSTEAD, my wife was billed in the Dec 14 timeframe on an un-recognised license reference; she chose to ignore the email badgering, but AVG went ahead and took the money from my card account - insofar as I/we are concerned absent authority. When I called AVG phone from abroad querying this, the operator "explained" that such billing reminders arose from text embedded on my computers and beyond AVG';s ability to intervene. In other words, a system as described that will assure AVG a whole bunch of un-earned income. Does this resonate with any other users' experience and any ideas how to overcome?
