Hi Sandra,
I am not surprised. I have contacted AVG regarding my AVG Internet Security constantly informing of it’s weaknesses in protection by wanting me to try AVG Tune-up. I turned of in my task manager but it is being constantly reactivating the Tune-up marketing every time I either download upgrades or re-start my cpu for other reasons. I have told AVG I DO NOT want Tune-up for it is a memory and processor hog; I have tried it for free before. But it still automatically turns it on. My complaints fall on blind eyes.
AntiTrack is the same, a huge processor hog. I bought it because I am tired of all the crap advertising based upon where I may or may not have gone on my web browsing. I finally started using DuckDuckGo and it pretty much has gone away however, some still makes it through. I figured AntiTrack would cover those cases but I have found out, it doesn’t work with DDG. Of course that is not shown in their advertising and AVG pop-ups continually advertised like Tune-up, AntiTrack would protect me from trackers. It does when I use MS Edge but now that I have DDG, I never use Edge. Again, complaints to AVG simply go to blind eyes.
I like Internet security very much. It’s just to bad they have such poor customer Service.
That does not sound right at all. If AVG advertised a 30 day money back guarantee and you are only two days into the subscription I would expect the refund to be based on that guarantee rather than a 50% refund. I would definitely contact their support and point out the exact wording of the 30 day guarantee, then ask them to explain why they are only offering 50% back. Hopefully they will correct it.
Hi @Sandra_Kriek,
I’m sorry to hear about your experience.
The 30-day money-back guarantee provides a full refund. After reviewing your case, I can see that the partial refund was offered as an optional alternative in case you preferred to keep the subscription. However, I can also see that your order was subsequently processed for a full refund.
If you’re still having trouble receiving the full refund, please let us know and we’ll be happy to look into it further.
