This isn't the expected behavior.
Does it happen only with AVG Secure browser or with some of the other applications too?
Do you have any cleaner program that would automatically delete the shortcut icons that weren't used for a period of time?
I am using the AVG Secure Browser but from time to time my shortcuts I have placed on my Home screen disappear. What is going on? Why is it so inconsistent? Extremely annoying!

The thumbnails that are on the homepage are the frequently visited websites & they get added to your homepage automatically.
