Most menu items not working

I sent in a question yesterday, but someone miss-read it as being to do with the Recycle Bin.

Since the August/September 2017 updates, most of the items on my AVG Internet Security (paid for) menu have stopped working.  From the main menu none of the items work, except for ‘Settings’ and ‘Help’.  This is on a computer running Windows Vista, and I have run ‘Repair’ from the ‘Control Panel’.  The ‘Update’ function appears to work, and it is on 17.6.3029.  There are no error messages.

Please can someone help?
