Mouse freezes/AVG unusable

Returning to this matter, problem still persists. Ran both utilities per directions. Saw some continuing problems. Let it be for the time being as AVG seemed to otherwise work. Still can't do anything w/AVG. Today, tried installing new driver for BlackMagicDesigns video I/O card. AVG blocked it (false positve) Can't click on anything in AVG window (e.g. more options>unblock). Suggestions?

Thank you for responding. No, an issue with my mouse is improbable.

It's certainly possible that the mouse just happened to have the first of a sequence of failures when I happened to click on something in the AVG window. However, it works everywhere else at all times in other spaces even windows ovlaying the AVG window. as well as continuing to freeze everytime when clicking on anything in the AVG window every time–after reboots too.

Do you have another suggestion?

Hello M,

I understand the situation but this looks like there is an issue with your mouse device.
Can you check the status by using another mouse device?

Hi M P,

We need log files to analyze the first issue. Let us know your convenient time to collect those logs for analysis. For second one, please share the screenshot http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-create-a-screenshot of that threat detection along with its full path to have better understanding. Note: click on "See Details" at the bottom right corner of popup to get its full path.

You can report that false positive using the following link: http://www.avg.com/submit-sample . Our developers team will analyze and work on it.

The problem has reoccurred.

The problem has reoccurred.

Repair did not resolve issue but fresh download, complete uninstall, reboot, reinstall, reboot seems to be working now.

Thank you for the clarification.
It seems that AVG user interface isn't responding.
Try (repair)  of AVG Antivirus free and check the status.
