Mozzila Thunderbird connections problems

Hi Kasper.
We regret for the inconvenience caused. Are you using a trial version of AVG Internet Security? We'd request to disable each AVG component and verify the issue to narrow down the issue.
Open AVG Internet Security, click Menu > Settings > Components. Use the On/Off slider against each component to disable it and verify the issue.

Installed AVG Internet Security and now I'm having problems with Mozzila Thunderbird for my emails, I get timed out connections, delays after delays watching my mouse pointer go around and around…
Sometimes I even get wrong Password??? when I know for sure its the right one…
Try again and sometimes it finally go's through…
I'm on Virginmedia in the UK and spoke to them and they said there servers were running fine with no problems with Thunderbird, then he said AVG… this is there problem, I believe them !
Switch off AVG and it works, emails downloaded instant, switch it on, then its the dredded time out connections, hit or miss game !

My emails are small only text, nothing big at all…

Yet if I switch off AVG Internet Security all these problems go away and my emails download instant… ?? switch AVG back on and I'm stuck again with delays, time out connections…

I have the latest Mozzila Thunderbird installed, Windows 10 Pro with the latest updates…
No other Firewalls on…
I'm tempted to remove AVG as I am tired of waiting and waiting for my emails to download…
But this leaves me with no protection which in these days you need…
Only other solution would be remove AVG and go back to my Bitdefender… at least it WORKED !!

Any ideas what the problem is ???

Hi, Full Internet Security 2018…
I will try what you say and reply back, thanks…

After elimination of components switching ones off and on I finally tracked down the problem, it was the email shield, this kept me hanging with time out connections, switching it off the problem went away…

Thank you for providing the screenshot Kasper,
We also request you to check, if the issue is resolved when AVG protection is disabled? Right click on AVG system tray icon and toggle the On/Off slider to disable AVG protection.
