Before we proceed, please let us know the list of AVG programs installed on your computer.
Please reinstall the AVG Tune Up and check whether you can acccess MS office suite.

Today I installed and ran AVG tune up…worst thing I ever did, because it has disabled my entire ms office suite. I checked to see it was not one of the programs put to sleep. I have read a lot of the threads from others with the same problem, and it seems there is no solution right now. Now I cannot work…very frustrating and annoying to say the least. AVG: please respond urgently with a fix!!

Today I restarted my computer again, and it went through a long reconfiguration process. After that my ms office worked fine again.
I am running AVG Internet Security, AVG Tune Up, and AVG Secure VPN.
So at this stage, the ms office problem solved....although it sounds like you guys have a bug in there somewhere that needs fixing.
But this process has also deleted most of the icons on my desktop as well, which is a real pain and I don't know how to retrieve them. Any ideas???

May I know the version of AVG Internet Security and AVG TuneUp programs installed on your PC?
Also please mention the version of your operating system.
