MS-office sharing violation

The above is a typical Tech Help Desk response!  It is the other parties fault not ours!!  I have the file sharing violation every day that AVG is updated on my computer!!!  Some times it goes away a day or two later.  Or AVG conducts a complete computer scan.

Hello.
I have AVG premium antivirus and internet security running in Windows 10. Both were OK until a few days ago. Now I cannot save or delete Excel files. I have seen on chat forums that this is likely to be an antivirus problem and I have also seen some posts from AVG engineers about a link to connect to the technical support team in order to fix it. Please could someone forward the link?
Thanks,

Hello Aravind,

I disabled AVG twice, with and without the firewall. The problems persist.
Trying to save an altered Excel file returns the message "your changes cannot be saved because of a sharing violation" followed by 2 other messages.
Trying to delete the file, after closing it, returns the message "Invalid MS-DOS function".

I guess this means that the problem is not with AVG (Yes?) but I hope that you might nonetheless be able to suggest what to do next.

Paul
