MSEdge.exe warning re passwords

Hi, Cindi,

We're here to help.
I believe that you would have clicked on the "block app" option from the prompt that appeared saying that Ms Edge.exe is trying to access the passwords.
If that is the case, please open the AVG Internet Security program window.
Click on "Menu-Settings->General->Blocked/Allowed apps".
Check on blocked apps whether MS edge is listed. If yes, use the option to remove it from the blocked list.
If you get the prompt again, do click on the "allow app" option.
Keep us posted.

I received an AVG prompt that MSEdge.exe was trying to access my login information - then asked if I wanted to allow or block it.  I hit yes, because it scared me.  Since then, I've been told I shouldn't have blocked it and now my saved passwords are gone.  In addition, Edge will no longer ask if I want the password saved, so I can't start from scratch.  What are my options and why did AVG spit out an unnecessary warning?
