Previous subscriptions worked well. Baffled, have tried multiple reinstalls etc. Device count keeps going up but no extra apps will activate (apple devices only) Product id shows AVG Ultimate on windows devices but AVG Internet Security on Apple Devices.

That sounds like it could be an account or licensing synchronization issue rather than a problem with the apps themselves. Since the device count is increasing but the Apple devices won’t activate, I’d recommend confirming that all devices are signed in with the same AVG account and checking whether your subscription is correctly recognized as AVG Ultimate across all platforms. If everything looks correct, AVG Support may need to reset or resync your license on their end.
