Multiple programs will not start - "not found" after running TuneUp!

I just dropped off a laptop running Windows 8.1 at a pc repair shop as Office and other software will no longer start "not found" after running AVG TuneUp.  I JUST found these posts and fear I am going to end up spending 100's of $$ to fix a problem that AVG created!

On the desktop computer I am typing on now I am seeing the SAME issue. Multiple programs are NOT starting "not found" after running TuneUp.  You have GOT to be kidding me!!!

What is the status on creating a fix AVG???  This is a SERIOUS PROBLEM!!!
