My AVG has gone mental

Last night my AVG firewall stopped working. After following the correct process last night, to reactivate, It still wasn't working.

I spoke to customer support this morning on live chat. I followed the process set out to me. However once I had uninstalled and reinstalled it seemed I had more than one on.

I followed the instructions of the support worker this morning. My AVG firewall still isn't working properly. It keeps telling me to repair it and it won't allow me too. It tells me I don't have permission to stop it.

I need someone to take me right through this process with remote help if necessary. I am concerned my laptop is not protected properly. I am also away at the moment so more concerned than usual as I can't ring for support, only get support here through live chat.

I have tried to contact live chat again and it isn't working. Having just checked it again, it is just my firewall that isn't working. Help please. I was told if I couldn't sort it I would have to contact remote service to do it. I am away for another week so can't ring anyone.
