My AVG Internet Security Has Died

I opened AVG to run my regular scan today and got a red flag message saying I must restart my PC, which I did. 
I opened AVG after my PC restarted and AVG seems to have died.
The usual screen is blank with a message saying "Your're protected". There is also a long url across the top of the AVG screen which looks extremely dodgy.
Help please.
