Appreciate your efforts in working towards fixing the issue, Kanghyun.
Pleaes check if the server (location) info is displayed correctly by accessing sites in incognito mode, when you're connected through Secure VPN
Hello Kanghyun,
Let us explain this to you.
If you manually select a location in the AVG Secure VPN, your IP address will be the server's IP address.
But if you choose an optimal location, which is a server with the best connectivity.
The Location will keep changing to the best connectivity so does your virtual IP address.
Websites often attempt to identify the location of visitors using their IP address, a process called IP geolocation. IP geolocation uses a database that pairs IP address ranges and geographical information. The information in this database can be inaccurate for several reasons:
1, AVG does its best to provide accurate information to the IP geolocation databases, but the database providers may take extra time to update the location.
2, The website may be using an outdated version of the geolocation database.
3, In certain locations, we rent dedicated servers to ensure AVG Secure VPN and the IP geolocation databases are updated by the server provider on AVG's behalf. Because AVG is a Czech company, these providers may indicate the location as the Czech Republic.
We request you to change to the nearby location from AVG Secure VPN and check if it shows the correct location from a nearby server.
Keep us posted.
Hello Kanghyun. Thank you for taking the time to communicate with AVG. My name is Shawn and I am writing to you on behalf of the AVG Senior Support team.
I understand you are experiencing a disruption when using AVG Secure VPN, specific to the selected Korean server location, further associated to a Czech Republic IP address.
This is a actually a known reported disruption, specific to the Korean server location, and is actively being worked on by our development team. Unfortunately, I am not certain when this disruption will be fixed. Thank you for your continued patience and for being understanding. Regards, Shawn
Since April, I have waited for the Korean AVG VPN server to be fixed, but it is still not fixed yet. I think it was enough time for waiting patiently for the problem to be fixed. Also, the only reason for buying this VPN was for the Korean server. However, I could not do any work because of a technical issue caused by AVG VPN.
I want to claim refund for the five months which time I could not work because of the VPN. Also I want to get a refund for the rest of the time how much I can use the VPN.
Regard, Kanghyun.
Currently, I am using AVG secure VPN, but since April 9th, 2021, Korea IP address from AVG VPN has changed. After it changes most of the website says I cannot log in to Korea IP only servers and it says my Korea IP address is located in Czech Republic. How do I fix it?
Thanks for the help.
If you need a website link, which I cannot access with the Korea server, I will be delighted to tell you.
Thanks for replying. It seems like this problem is getting the solution.
Yes, I am having a problem with accessing websites when I choose Korean service from AVG VPN. Also, when I use other servers from AVG VPN, it seems like it is working well. However, I cannot access the websites if I use other servers from AVG VPN because from the websites which I try to access, the service only available in Korea IP which, I suppose to use Korea server VPN. However, as you know, I am having trouble with the Korea server from VPN so, I cannot visit the website anymore.

It sounds good that you are going to check with the senior team. However, as you said last time, you already know there is a problem with the Korean server. I had enough time to wait for the problem to be fixed. So I do not want to wait anymore. Please refund it.
Hi. AVG VPN is not working. I used different Ip Address but its not working well. Please help me about this error.
Thanks
Hi Kanghyum,
We realize the situation with your IP address.
To be sure, are you experiencing any issues in accessing websites when you choose Korean service from AVG Secure VPN?
If yes, are you able to access the websites when you choose other servers on VPN?
You are welcome, Kanghyun.
Sorry to know that you aren't able to access any websites when Korean location chosen on AVG Secure VPN.
We will check this with our senior team and get back to you.
Please keep checking your emails regularly to know about the status.
Your patience is much appreciated.
When I use a nearby location from AVG secure VPN, it shows as Malaysia which means it works well. However, when I come back to Korea IP address, it shows Czech Republic again. What should I do now?

Thanks for replying. When I disable AVG secure VPN, it shows I am in Vietnam. Also, when I connect to the Korea location server from AVG secure VPN, it shows I successfully connected to the Korea location server. And when I search "where is my IP address" on the internet, it also shows the IP is in Korea. However, when I visit the Korean IP only server, it shows the IP location is coming from the Czech Republic, which means I cannot use it properly. As I said before, on April 9th, 2021 IP address has changed. Could you change the IP address back, which I used before? Because before it changed, these kinds of problems never happened.
Appreciate your efforts in working towards fixing the issue, Kanghyun.
