My computer died and I got a new one but it wont let me use my activation code

I am not able to find any subscription on the account that you used for posting in AVG community.
I have sent an email for you to send us the activation code to locate your account and assist further.
If the email is not found in inbox do check in spam and junk folders.

How do I use my current activation code for my new laptop.  The other one completed died so I had to try to download avg on the new one but it wont let me use the same activation code.  Is there a way to deactivate it on the other computer (which I obviously no longer have) and activate it on the new one somehow electronically?
