My computer is very slow since last AVG installation

We are sorry to hear that the computer slowed down after fixing the problems using the AVG free. Please let us know if you have initiated the scan using the AVG AntiVirus free or AVG PC TuneUp trial. If you have used AVG AntiVirus free, then please run AVG repair from control panel and check if the computer works faster. Please send us the screenshot(http://avgclick.me/getscreenshot) of the window where you see the scan stuck at 42%.

I have tried to scan my computer using the latest AVG free update.  Yesterday the AVG stopped in the middle of "fixing" problems with my computer.  This morning at 6.30 am I tried again and now it is 11.45 am and the scan is only 42% and the computer is sooooo slow. Even typing this message is slow.
What has happened?
