You need to change the firewall network profile from "Public" to "Private" and check if that fixes the issue. To change this setting, please open the AVG Internet Security and click on Menu>Settings>Components>Firewall >Customize>Network profile.
Also, please Enable all the System Rules under Menu>Settings>Components>Firewall >Customize>Policies.
If you're using AVG Secure VPN then check the below option is enabled in it,
Open your AVG Secure VPN > Click on the Menu > Settings > Make sure to tick the "Enable local device access when using VPN".
Note: AVG protects your PC by its high security, so it will not directly allow external connections to the PC without your permission, so we need to manually enable its permissions.
Please try the above steps and let us know the status.

I am using Brother's Control Center 4 to scan and print on a all in one printer. I can print with the program but I cannot scan unless I disable AVG's enhanced firewall. How can I fix this?
