Hello Byron.
Thank you for contacting AVG Support Community.
We will certainly check and help you.
We're sorry to hear that you're facing this trouble, we regret the inconvenience this may have caused.
We are sorry that we have changed the network profiles settings in the new version.
The Networks tab is available via Web & Email ▸ Enhanced Firewall ▸ Networks.
This section lists all of the networks that you have previously connected to. The following options are available for each network:
Click Show settings and specify if the network is trusted or untrusted.
Hover your cursor over the network panel, and click the "Show network details" icon to see technical information about the network.

Thank you.
Thanks for that info. I found the tab and ensured that mine is a trusted network. But the scanner still isn't recognized. I have three wireless printers (two of them also Brother) that remain connected with no problem. When I run a utility that gives me the status of wireless Brother machines, it recognizes the two printers and the scanner, so the scanner is seen at least as a network device. Then I reconfigured the scanner to connect via USB, which it did fine – until I turned it off and on again. None of this happened before I installed AVG Tune-Up. Any ideas?
My Brother ADS-2700W document scanner no longer can get through AVG's firewall protection. In previous versions, I could change the firewall network profile from "Public" to "Private" by opening AVG Internet Security and clicking on Menu>Settings>Components>Firewall >Customize>Network profile. In the current version, the menu has changed. I've searched till my eyes are blurry, so I turn to you: Where do I find the place to switch my network from "Public" to "Private"?
