My sound is not working after running several things included in tune up trial and zen/internet

Hello Tanya,
We recommend you restoring your computer to last known good configuration. If the issue is not fixed, please let us now if you get any error message when you try to play through your speakers/headphones. Thank you.

Hello Tanya,
We apologize for the inconvenience.
To assist you better, could you please let us know if this issue caused after running the AVG PC TuneUp program orAVG Driver Updater?
Thank you.

In response to the below (I can find the original question when i login, hence repost)
Reversing what has taken about 10 hours of work y AVG is not helpful.

My sound is not working…for that i need to reverse 10 hrs, 40gb of deletions? and umpteen other tasks ive run through zen and tune up?

That's not appropriate.

I am on windows vista, please advise me how i get my sound back and what checks i should do.

The sound bar displays (up and down to the sounds) when a video or music is playing but there is no actual sound.

Thanks
Tanya

Hi
I have no sound…so which "file" do i restore to get my sound back?
As i said before, more than 40gb of data has been moved- do you understand what i have written above?
i have restored every tuneup backup. My sound has still not returned??
before tuneup i have used internet security.

Thanks

Tanya, Alternatively you can also try using some file recovery software, for example Recuva (http://www.piriform.com/recuva) to get deleted data back.

Hello Tanya,
In this case, we suggest you to restore the files back from the AVG Rescue center in the AVG PC TuneUp. Please open the AVG PC TuneUp and click on the rescue center and restore the files from that location.
This should fix the sound issue.
Thank you.

I have used the zen and tune up.
I have also installed the driver updater, I only got to the stage of scanning and did not install drivers.
