Hi Avinash.
Thank You for Your reply to My email.
Are You saying that the Internet security cover that I have at this moment in time, on My computer, is adequate for My needs ?
I am aware that You cannot answer My question as You are not aware of My needs when browsing the Internet ?
This is where the problem arises, "I Thought That I Had Purchased The Correct Internet Cover" from A.V.G, but when A.V.G issues an email to Me about other additional services provided by A.V.G, it places doubt in My mind.
I understand it is A.V.Gs business to sell Internet protection, and make profit from that, unfortunately, that ethos clashes with a Person
s (Me) confidence in the security that A.V.G are providing.
To Recap… …Basically… When A.V.G email Me with an offer… …that offer makes Me wonder if My computer has got the Safe or Correct Internet Protection for My needs ?
Thank You for Your assistance in this matter Avinash.
Hi there.
I am a subscriber to A.V.G cover, the problem I have is that I am constantly receiving emails from A.V.G to inform Me that the My A.V.G cover I have paid for, does not cover Me for one thing and then another, and this usually involves Me paying More Money to A.V.G.
What I require is a cover where I pay My money And Thats It.. ..Non of this email stuff about other products of A.V.G that I can purchase, and that My computer is in danger.<br>Anyone out there with any input, or suggestion
s ?
Many Thanks.
Hi Avinash.
That is not what I wish to know, the situation has now escalated
After receiving an email stating that My "Banking Details Could Be Exposed To Anyone On The Internet", Unsubscribing From A.V.G offers Is The Least Of My Worries
I Need To Know… …For Instance… …Am I Safe From Hackers While Communicating WithYou, Now ?
Am I Safe When I Am Communicating With Other People On Thre Iternet ?
"ARE MY BANK DETAILS SAFE ?"
"I NEED TO KNOW AVINASH !"
Chris, please do not worry, the use of VPN is to hide your identity and location when you browse online. When you access the banking websites, AVG Internet Security will protect you against any malware attack. Web shield component from AVG Internet Security is designed in such a way that it protects your computer and data when you browse online.
Please accept our sincere apologies, Chris.
The emails & pop-ups you've been receiving are promotional pop-ups/adverts for our additional products. They describe the possible vulnerabilities present in your computer, that could be exploited.
The email you're referring to, was sent regarding our AVG Secure VPN program.
AVG Secure VPN is an application that enables you to connect to the internet via secure AVG VPN servers using an encrypted tunnel to protect your online activity from eavesdropping.
It can be used any time you want to connect to the internet with extra security and privacy. This is especially recommended when you are connected to a public or unsecured wireless network.
You can rest assured, as you have the AVG Internet Security program installed in your computer, which is a protection program that will protect your computer against emerging online threats, malwares & hackers.
Hope this information helps clarify your concern. Please write back to us if you have further queries.
I'm glad that your query was addressed. I appreciate your time and co-operation.
