I only use AVG free edition as it comes highly recommended and being a pensioner I cannot afford the complete package. My problem is that AVG keep giving me trial periods for the full protection and when the period expires everything changes - my current free period finishes today and so the Windows Security Centre is telling me that my firewall and virus protction are both off and that I am at risk - when I click on AVG Zen it tells me my pro version expires today but I am still Fully protected when you click on 'protection pro' it tells me everything is OK including the firewall. I'm no expert and therefore do not know who or what to believe? The Windows security alert is not normally there but is there now and says I am not protected.
Is there a logical explaination or something I should be doing or am I just being a silly old fool?
