To repair the AVG Internet Security app, just follow these steps:
Click on Windows+ R and Search for appwiz.cpl
Locate AVG Internet Security and click on it 
Click on Change
When the AVG Setup wizard appears, click on the Repair option
Restart your device - don’t miss this step!

I have a virus update notification saying i need to update virus definitions but when i click on update against a green background saying update now, nothing happens.
