We request you to check with firewall settings. Open AVG Internet Security -> Menu at the top right -> Settings -> Components -> Firewall -> Customize -> System rules -> make sure all the task has been enabled.
Again, Firewall -> Customize -> Network Profiles -> change all the profiles from public to Private.

I have been using my own VPN service and I see that AVG Firewall keeps blocking the IPv4 address used by my VPN. Please advise the best way to set up the packet rules to allow the connections. This just started occurring after I reinstalled my Windows 7 x64 backup. Prior to the backup, I never had an issue connecting to my VPN service.
I also have a Windows 10 x64 with the same VPN service, and there are no issues to connect to my VPN. I do not have AVG installed on the Windows 10 computer.

I will try your suggestion. One question when I click to add the Packet Rules for my vpn, should I show the as In/Out, Out only, or In pnly?
