Hello Roger,
We're glad to look into this & help you.
Initially, we request you to check & mention the program version of your AVG Antivirus Free.
Secondly, please refer to this article & change the network profile of your AVG Antivirus from 'Public' to 'Private'.
Once you've changed the network profile, restart your computer once & check if the issue persists.
Keep us updated.
Please see following response ton your AVG Customer Care <survey@feedback.avg.com… Note: no response to this required
You sent me two mails on 5 March 2022 relating to a query posted on 22 March 2021. The original query was not satisfactorily answered back then and I eventually resolved through other channels/elsewhere. Your survey request appears to drive off of the two mentioned emails (from your Support Community) - which, in turn, seem to have driven of a comment posted by a Mark Grant on the same day in "my" query record - indicating that he has a similar problem to mine. But whilst your Dinesh Krishnan gave him response, why would that trigger emails to me? Perhaps the enquiry has been open in your system for a year and thus required messages to me - after all this time? As far as I am concerned, the matter is closed although the fact that I am responding to you at this length is an indication of a negative estimation of the service received. Note also that I have since established comms lines with your local agents - far easier and quicker to resolve

Ok…so… just to be clear… was there actually an answer to this problem? It never fails to amaze me how crap Customer Help Forum's are at actaully publishing 'the solution'… So…What was the solution?
I have being going round in circles trying to fix this issue…
My AVG Firewall (it seems) is blocking access to my router… not to the internet… but to the router… any thoughts on how to fix this? I have tried every suggestion in your forums.
Hello and help please. My problem seems to relate to this previous case: AVG Community except that I am using AVG AntiVirus Free (with AVG TuneUp on paid subscription). I'm also having an issue to access my router's (ZTE 283+ MF) admin page (IPA: 192.168.1.1) and you seem to have given your other customer appropriate advice in the above referenced case. So, my router dashboard runs on IPA 192.168.0.1. In same I have failed, over time, to manage SMS's received from my ISP with the result that the SMS folder is full and I cannot open it to clean up. I have been told that I need to go to the dashboard's admin address 192.168.1.1 and adjust a/some settings. I see in the above and another related case that it might be appropriate to adjust Nertwork Profile from Public to Private but, 1) I don't want to take the chance without advice and 2) I don't find this option in my AVG dashboard menu anyway. Can you help please? (and… If this is not any issue to be addressed to you…apologies). Thanks v m
PS: In my Network and Sharing Center>Network Connections>Local Area Connection Properties I have the following item checked: AVG Firewall NDIS6 Helper…whatever that means/whatever that's worth
Hi Mark,
This isn't the experience we want you to have.
Please write back to us in your original post to proceed further.
Thank you for your understanding in advance!
Hello and thank you for your response. My program version is 21.1.3164 (Build 21.1.5968.643). Whilst I can access Hacker Attacks in my dashboard (its AVG AntiVirus Free) same indicates a status of "not protected" (am only protected for Computer & Web & Email = intentional…have never upgraded for further protections). In Hacker Attacks, I do not have access to Network Profiles - have access to nothing at all here - and so, cannot choose between Public or Private profiles. Seems to me then that my version/profile/level is set to Public by default in absence of upgrade to get Hacker Attack protection. Where to now? Thanks again

Hello Santosh. Can't say that i'm satisfied with your response - it's just not cricket (refer your profile pic). By "the program" you mean AVG, I guess but is that going to help? How about responding to this from my earlier post: "Seems to me then that my version/profile/level is set to Public by default in absence of upgrade to get Hacker Attack protection" and if that supposition is correct then its not going to help to reinstall AVG, is it? And so, how do I get around it?
Thank you for the information.
In that case, we request you to reinstall the program and check for the issue again.
Keep us posted.
