Network Inspector

Hello Gonzalo,
Thank you for reaching AVG Support Community.
I'm glad to help you.
Before proceeding, let me clarify about the network inspector feature,
Network Inspector scans your network for vulnerabilities and identifies potential security issues that may leave you vulnerable to threats. This feature checks the status of your network, devices connected to the network, and router settings. Network Inspector helps you secure your network to prevent attackers from accessing it and misusing your personal data.

Regarding your query, you can rename your known and scanned available device on the network inspector, but the unknown device which showed in the previous scan result which cannot be renamed. If you wish to remove it from the list, you can select the forget device and select forget.

In case, if you wish to rename those unknown devices, you need to connect those devices to the wifi again and select the device > Click on show details and rename it.

For better clarity, please share us the screenshot of the network inspector scan results.

    Thank you.

Thank you for the clear explanation, Gonzalo.
The listed unknown devices when they are not connected are intended, and that we've also submitted your feedback to the developers for a possible change in the future.
We request your patience and thank you for letting us know about it.
    Stay safe and healthy!

    Hello,

My question was not about Unknown networks but about known devices in a known network that are currently offline.

Instead of showing the name I provided them when they were connected, Network Inspector shows them as Unkown Name; this is wrong because they were previously identified.

Network Inspector should show them with the name and details I gave them previously and only indicate they are not connected.
Network Inspector should also allow to edit them because I know what they are.

    Regards,
    Gonzalo

When I run network inspector I can edit those devices currently connected but those devices previously identified but now unconnected appear as Unkown Name.
How can I make the saved names to appear or edit Unkown Name entries?
    Thx.

Attached the screenshot; all unconnected devices are known to me and I previously identified them all. I'm expecting their details should appear as well.
