New AVG So slow, no auto shutdown

Hello Robert,

I understand this must be upsetting. I would love to assist you. Please open the control panel - program list and check if you have two entries of "AVG Protection/ Internet Security". If so, please use the remover tool http://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=How-to-uninstall-AVG to uninstall the older version from your computer. 

Also, please open the task manager and check if the CPU usage is 100%.

I hate the new AVG to the point I don't even use it, it runs super slow. I have a Dell inspiron laptop that is just over 6 months old, way too many changes I want my old AVG back. Is it even possible or am I riding this out and ending my sub with AVG? PS I also have PC tuneup.
