Hello everyone,
there is a new beta version ready - build 26.10.11185.
Release notes
What is New
Faster on-device AI scanning: On supported Intel and Qualcomm PCs, AI-based scanning features now automatically take advantage of the device’s built-in NPU (neural processing unit) for faster, more efficient performance, with automatic fallback to the GPU or CPU when an NPU isn’t available.

Hey Jan
Thank you for add new beta version.
I’ve a question for AVG and it’s for Scam Ai, Why on AVG security there is not this protection option? However there are these option on two products Avast and Norton.

I don’t see any AI scanning features available inside AVG at all. As far as I know, the only Gen Digital product that currently supports these new AI-related features is Norton, but those features don’t appear to be available in AVG. At the moment, we don’t have any option for AI scanning within AVG. So why does this keep being posted as though it applies to AVG when these features aren’t actually affiliated with or available in any AVG products?
This is very confusing for the user base because the products and features being mentioned don’t appear to be part of AVG. It would be helpful to clarify whether these features are actually coming to AVG or if they only apply to other Gen Digital products such as Norton.

Hi, thanks for asking. Since Norton, Avast, and AVG share a common code base, we currently publish the same beta release notes for all three brands. A change introduced for one product may also affect the others, even if it was not originally intended for them.
Therefore, some features mentioned in the notes may not be available in every brand. We share these details to provide beta users with as much information as possible.

Thanks for sharing the beta release notes.
The NPU-based AI scanning update sounds useful, especially for supported Intel and Qualcomm PCs, while the automatic GPU or CPU fallback should help maintain compatibility.
I’ll check the new build and test the scanning performance.
