New DVD drive - DVD drive don't function when AVG Internet Security is installed

Hi Balasubramanian,

I've done as suggested. Disabling individual components does not make any difference. However, when AVG Internet security is deinstalled the drive seems to work.

Will get another new drive today and see how it is then.

We're sorry to know that.
We will have to check which component of AVG Internet Security is blocking this function.
Please refer this article and disable individual components one by one and check the status with DVD drive.
Let us know the name of AVG component which helped you to use the DVD drive when it is disabled.

Hello, got a new DVD drive for my desktop. DVD drive don't function when AVG Internet Security is installed. It works fine, without AVG Internet Security. Error messages is D:\ The directory name is invalid.
Please help.

This isn't the usual behavior of AVG program. Let us work towards fixing the issue.
Kindly check with a new drive and let us know.

And also do you have any other security application installed in your PC?
