Hello Garry,
I understand the inconvenience.
Please be informed that, the link you received will install only the free version of AVG in Android.
The steps for activating to PRO is to enter AVG my account credentials on free version once it is installed.
Open AVG Antivirus free on your Android mobile and tap on drawer icon which is at top left corner.
Tap on "AVG account" to enter your my account credentials.
Once it is entered, you should get the app activated to PRO.
Feel free to contact us if you need further assistance.
Still no joy:
Upon pressing "Restore Purchase" I receive message "Licence not found. Check Primary account in Google Play settings".
Its not obvious what to look for in Google Play settings. I can't find any reference to AVG in the list of Open Source licences, and nothing is listed in Google Play Acccounts/Subscriptions for instance.
Hi. I've just upgraded to AVG Internet Security Unlimited Edition. The welcome email provides links to download/install to all my devices, including "AVG Antivirus PRO for Android". Yet when I follow the instructions on my Android tablet and Android phone to sign into AVG MyAccount to download PRO, it points me to the FREE edition in Google Play. If I manually search for PRO, it invites me to pay.
What is going wrong?
Many thanks for any help.

Hi, Thank you for the info'. However, I do need further assistance as I'm still having issues:
When I enter my account credentials I expected it to state it was activated to Pro without further ado. However, instead it invites me to go to my.AVG.com.
I did this, and it then asks me to logon to AVG Account.
I did this. My android devices are listed. I log out.
AVG remains as before, e.g. Remove Ads option still invites me to upgrade to Pro. Adverts still appear.
Also, when in my AVG Account, it states AntiTheft is not enabled on this device. I attempt to enable but it times out ('trying to contact your device' is displayed at the bottom of the screen). Enable times out and nothing has changed. There is an option to change a PIN, but I haven't been issued with a PIN (as far as I am aware?).

Thank you for the detailed information.
