I have exactly the same, been trying to update for about 3 weeks now, and the same thing keeps happening. I won't be renewing my subscriptions.

We are really sorry for the inconvenience caused. This is not an expected behaviour. Could you please restart the PC once and try to update AVG Secure VPN?
In case, if you get same error, please share us the screenshot (https://support.avg.com/SupportArticleView?urlname=AVG-Create-screenshot) of it. Also confirm the operating system installed in your device. Keep us updated.

Very irritating popup on the VPN update available ! When i am fast enough to click on it , it ends up with a error code 44013 due to cannot get info files due to curl error and referrers to the icarus logfile, located in the programdata folder. There shows up the following :
"Exception: Cannot get info files due to curl error.|Code: 0x0000abed (44013)|Exception: Unable to perform cURL request ('https://honzik.avcdn.net//universe/1d55/2028/b20b/1d552028b20b6b32ba1657fc51166a492f2b9e53d756ef5175a7ec9a18e66a05.lzma') after 4 retries!|Couldn't connect to server (Failed to connect to honzik.avcdn.net port 443: Network unreachable)|Code: 0x00000007 (7)",
So if i am correct, VPN cannot update itself because it cannot reach the AVG server.
You guys need to fix this ! there is NO 'check for updates' in the VPN program, so we must rely on YOUR automated updates. It should be inside the MENU of VPN in the first place !

Like i showed before… the error remains the same. A screenshot won't change a thing since it referrs to this log file and the log txt is big in txt and a screenshot cant be uploaded since you are always 'repairing/improving'. Send me a email with a return adress i can send it too.
