New update fucked me

Hi Jared,

We are sorry to hear that. We suggest you to change the firewall network profile from "Public" to "Private" and check if that fix the issue. To change this settings, please open the AVG Internet Security and click on Menu>Settings>Components>Firewall>Customize>Network profile.

Thank you!

After the new update, the only way for my Wifi Hotspot to work, is if i shut down AVG. I tried updating, reinstalling my internet drivers, that did nothing, turned off my firewall, works.

Someone please help me?? I do not feel comfortable surfing the 'interwebs' without AT LEAST A FIREWALL

Hello John,
We regret to hear about the inconvenience caused. It is not recommended to disable AVG Internet Security while using Internet, could you please share us a screenshot of the AVG interface from where you are facing issues (Please take screenshots when AVG is disabled/enabled), so that we can check and help you. Please click on the link to show how to create a screenshot : http://avgread.me/1aZxsAV
Also, please tell us the version of AVG you are using in your computer. Is it a free or paid version? Thank you

Same problem you have. I discovered that if I right-click the icon at the task bar (this icon changes at random), and click the "Internet Security Scan Now Protection Enabled" button, and click the Internet Security ScanComputer [SIC} Protection Enabled, the "Internet Security Scan Now Protection Enabled" will be disabled, though it doesn't say it is, and the "Internet Security ScanComputer [SIC} Protection Enabled" wil show it is indeed disaled.

Now you should be able to get on the Internet.

I know; what good is Internet Security if you have to disable it to get on the Internet. I called 'support', explained the situation, and was told that is how I will have to do it. My question "Are you telling me that in order for me to access the Internet, I need to disable Internet Security and the other Internet Security?"

ANSWER: "Yes sir, that is what you will have to do to connecvt to the Internet."

Clearly, I have up.
