I understand the inconvenience.
May I know on which browser you get this "search.search" page redirected?
Did you check whether you have any searchbar or toolbar installed for the browser?
If yes, please uninstall the toolbars and searchbars and check whether the issue persists.

Just paid up for AVG Protection and after running scans AVG didn't locate the search.search virus.  Any help?
