New version of AVG not easy to use and doesn't work

I also read the comment by John Clark which Karthikeyan is referring to,so was hoping the scheduled scan  it was fixed. But the problem is still there scheduled scan does not work . Over the last six weeks i have tried different settings to try to get it to work,it seem to generally work if the schedule scan is set for later on the same day otherwise it will not. This is not looking good is it six weeks and still no fix.

This is my experience also. I liked the old version of AVG way better. My scan ALWAYS says the last scan and virus definition update was done "a second ago" when i did not just do it. My browser freezes just about every day and i have to close down by either the esc key or ctr -alt-delete. I liked how i could see the scan results with the old vers… Also when i scheduled a scan it never does it @ the time i scheduled. I do not feel safe with this vers and i am seriously considering NOT renewing AVG next year and i have been a customer for a long time.

Hello Debbie,

This isn't the experience we want you to have and I apologize for the inconvenience caused. Please be informed, the updates for AVG 2016 version if not available and we cannot downgrade the new version. The 2017 is current program and it is easy to use and more features are available in this. I have sent you an email regarding the scan issue, please follow the email instructions to get in touch with the remote support. They will analyze and fix it with free of cost.

A fancy new version of AVG installed itself (ver. 17.6.3209). It looks very pretty but it is useless and I want the old version back. This version has many problems including these:
 - it didn't carry over all my scan schedules, etc. I've had to re-do all my schedules and now the scans don't run at the scheduled time.
- If I press 'scan now', it goes through three steps and I have to be present to click 'continue' at the end of each step! And the last step is AVG trying to sell me more stuff that I don't want.
- Instead of the scans being set up for me it seems I'm now required to set the scan parameters myself. As I'm not a geek I have no idea what any of the parameters mean.
- There used to be a place where I could go to look at my scan results - this no longer exists.
I have been a loyal customer of AVG but am seriously considering moving to another provider.

So has Avg technologies any idea when the schedule scan  will be fixed we keep getting the same reply it will be fixed soon, but that's a load of bull**** its been over six weeks now. If it is going to take several week's just be honest.

Hello Rebecca,

Thank you for posting your feedback for latest version of AVG here.
We don't want our customers to have this kind of experience hence your feedback was passed to our developers team.
The message appearing as "few seconds ago" for AVG scan and update is actually a bug with the latest version.
The process to release the fix for this bug will take time and we appreciate your patience in this matter.
The scan result in the latest version cannot be checked from reports option like previous versions.
