Hi Robert,

None of the suggested solutions works - no amount of changing firewall settings or printer sharing options makes any difference; the only thing my printer (a Samsung C460W) will print is a page saying there is an SPL-C error including corrupted data, for as long as AVG Internet Security 2015 is active. If I disable AVG temporarily, I can print perfectly normally. AVG needs to address this problem urgently, and stop putting forward "fixes" that do nothing to address the problem.

I have the same problem prints were working on Thursday 19 March and on Friday 20 March printer not working. I have enabled print and file sharing, I have disabled the different modules one by one and still the same problem no prints. I have also added the printer IP address to the whitelist and still the same problem. The only way I can print is by dissabling the complete AVG Internet Security until restart.
My Epson 302 XP wireless printer also stopped working when upgrade to AVG 20154. IT only works now when I have disabled AVG firewall. Sorry it is not an answer but sounds a similar problem.
Again, it's DeJa Vu all over again. had to do the control panel thing again this moring to repair the avg software. Would only recommend this software to Jihadi John.
My new wireless printer worked fine, until new AVG upgrade 1/8/15 now it doesn't. Contacted Canon, spent hours checking everything, finally had me turn off protection, and then it worked. Today it won't, even when AVG disabled.

I have the same problem Robert Bulmer and Cedric Slinn have with their printers. Mine is also a Canon, and I had the same results using a Canon rep. Went to an online chat at AVG with "Nisanth", who ended my chat session without addressing the issue. Tried calling AVG support, holding for 22 minutes so far. My phone's battery will likely die befor I hear from AVG!
