Today a new version of my AVG Internet Security was installed automatically. After that, nothing worked anymore.
I have to deactivate my own VPN software "NordVPN", otherwise I cannot use the browser. Only google.com works, but nothing more.
What a stupid new software release, which changes my workflow.
Your AVG customer support chat doesn't work, therefore I use now the community.
I am expecting an email to fix the problem or to uninstall the latest version and disable the automatic installation of your software.
Depending on your response I will decide to renew or leave my subscription ending soon.

I didn't know about the AVG update until now AND I JUST GOT OFFLINE GETTING A MSN page problem unresolved and having an AVG tech look for problems. None were found but an hour later the MSN issue seems to be resolved. I was then advised my TOTAL CARE subscription had lapsed!!??? I thought I had just renewed it to 2023 as part of the ULTIMATE package. IMAGINE my surprise to find AVG wants $249.00 MORE!!???
Since the change in ownership a while ago AVG seems to focus on sales using QUESTIONABLE methods … using different product names, mixed product descriptions, representatives with dubious or exaggerated accents and it's like pulling teeth to get them to email proper descriptions of the items being sold. Today I went to the AVG site to see the product line. One site showed the security products individually priced and a group price. Some Items are imposed to make the package look better priced but it's like a car … to get the one desired option you have to take the sunroof too!
I then searched for the Ultimate Premium tech package only to find it was on an entirely different site with a package name and 3 increasing cost packages with new or different names from what I had last purchased or from what the rep was telling me … maybe legit or more than likely a convoluted sales pitch.
I have to search for honest online tech services. I'm losing all faith in AVG
