No access to Facebook - Fb demands I dpwnload Kapersky

Hello JF,
Please be informed that the issue must be with your Facebook account (e.g. multiple logins from different locations etc.) but not with your computer. I would suggest you to contact Facebook help for any further assistance.

j, Malwarebytes… Presume that you're using the 'Free' version & not the full version?. Have a look @ this AVG article (http://avgclick.me/ConflictingApps) [Scroll Down… Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware].

I use AVG Free (Latest and updates are done automatically), and Malawarebytes.

I use Facebook to play 3 well known games, and interact with friends.  I do not download anything from Facebook.

About a week ago, I finished playing ZooWorld (classic), and clicked the Township game icon to go there.  Suddenly, I was signed out of Facebook with a message that my PC might have malware and to download Kapersky and run it.   I did not-- instead, I went to Google to research this.  Many people are reporting this locked-out problem of Facebook, and that if they download that scanner, they cannot get rid of it.

I did run AVG immediately-- no issues found.  Same with Mbytes.

So what can I do to try to get back into Facebook without downloading that other program?

Thanks.

JF, I completely understand your concern. However, this issue is not with AVG so I request you to contact Facebook for the further assistance. You can contact them here : https://www.facebook.com/help/community.
Best regards,

Hello JF,
Please be informed that in the latest 2017 version, the scan reports should be enabled first and only then you can view the logs after the scan.
Please follow the instructions mentioned below to enable reports(for example: Deep virus scan is considered):
- Open AVG
- Open Scan setting (symbol of gear, bottom of the window)
- Open Deep Virus Scan setting (symbol of gear, Deep Virus Scan tile)
- Click on "Report file"
- Check "Generate report", fill "Filename" (e.g. AVGScanReport), and check all reported items (Infected items, Hard errors, Soft errors, OK Items, Skipped items)
- Click on "OK" and "OK" again.

To view the scan report, please follow the path " C:\ProgramData\Avg\Antivirus</a> report".

If you have AVG Antivirus up to date and perform regular scanning then you can confirm that your PC is completely protected.
We aren't sure about the messages appearing about malware but it seems that they are promoting security products by providing these message.
If you inquire about this to Facebook, you can get the answer.

We have done that as per your request, JF.

No multiple logins from different locations.  That has never occurred.

I have written to security, with no response.
