I understand the inconvenience.
I request you to open AVG Internet Security dashboard, click on "My AVG–>My Subscriptions".
Click on the option available below "Secure VPN" to check whether it initiates the installation.
Once installation is completed, it will show Secure VPN icon on your desktop screen from where you can check the status of it.
