No Active Components, Cannot Stop/Restart AVG Services

I'll do that, Alan, I appreciate your help.  I've also asked AVG Tech Support for help.  Right now I've got a Research Articile Review for one of my grad school classes to write by midnight, so I'm gonna be focused on it…but the fact that AVG isn't working is disturbing nonetheless.  What confuses me has when I click on any of the service boxes on the AVG control panel the service shows that it's workling (green), but it obviously isn't…complications, complications…

Ross, When you reinstalled did you use the latest either 32 or 64bit install file?.. If not, Have a look @ this webpage (http://www.avg.com/ww-en/download.prd-isc) [Scroll Down - Paid Version]. Ross, When you uninstalled/reinstall did you utilize the AVG total removal tool when uninstalling?.

My Internet Security Page shows 'There are no active components' with all components in Orange !
I tried to repair and uninstall/reinstall AVG Internet Security 2015, but each attempt to uninstall and reinstall returns an error code saying Firewall cannot be stopped.  I try to stop it through MS Services Manager and am given "Access Denied"…
