Repaired as suggested. Still no AVG Ultimate and I'm wasting my time with this. I've followed all the directions and nothing has worked so my Ultimate not only won't open, but the other two subscriptions I have don't work either and show components that have been disconnected or lost. The sketchy directions are of no use. What did I pay for? The pleasure of wasted hours trying to get a PAID for utlity to work? The pages referred to are worthless and provide NO real help. I've gone over and over and over this mess. Is this the reason you tried to upsell the installation assistance? I would like to speak with a human being on the telephone, except AVG keeps that a trade secret. I've had it.
Today none of my AVG products will open. The error message said reload or contact tech support. When I clicked on the link, the AVG Home page on my Chrome browser said that they could not find HTTP://support.avg.com… which was the portal connected to the link. So I set about downloading anew from AVG.com…I accessed the AVG site and saw a new product that was called AVG Ultimate and provided registered versions of a bundle of AVG products… it took forever to upload and install. When I restarted, the startup routine chewed for a long time… when I clicked on the newly installed version… IT STILL WOULD NOT OPEN… and once again I'm staring at the" Oooops, How Embarrassing something must have gone wrong" message. I've tried everything I could think of. I even tried to get tech support, but was routed here. Can anyone tell me if they've had the same problem and what to do about it?
