No report after sceduled scan

Hi Balasubramanian,

Many thanks for your helpful reply. Do I need to set up a report file for every time I run a scan or once set up will it automatically run unless I cancel it? Also, once a report file is set up will it automatically be applied to all scan types, deep scan, file scan, scheduled scan etc. or do I need to set up a report file for each scan type?

Thanks again for your kind assistance,

Wayne

Hello Wayne,

In the latest version, you will no longer have a window to check the "reports" of a scan or update.
Instead, reports can be generated and viewed under C:\Program Data\AVG\Antivirus\Reports.
When the schedule scan is initiated, it will be running in the background and it can be seen only when you open AVG Antivirus free where it will be shown as "Scanning".
Once it is completed, the results of the scan can be seen only when you open the program interface and click on "symbol" which will be available near "scan computer" option.
To setup reports, Open AVG Antivirus free dashboard and Click on Settings near Scan computer > Select the small Gear beside the scan type > Report file > Generate file to check the scan reports.
Feel free to contact us if you need further help.

Hi,
After latest update there is no longer a report after I have scheduled a scan. I, therefore, have no idea whether or not the scan has operated and detected any infections. I am using AVG Antivirus free on Windows 10.

Wayne,

Once you set up the report file, it will generate automatically until you cancel it.

Setting up report file will not be applied to all scan types. You need to set up a report file separately for each scan.

Click on Settings icon on each scan to generate a report file for Schedule scan, Deep scan, File or folders Scan, USB scans.
